Three years to get a diagnosis, six hospitals.
It took 3 years to get a fibromyalgia diagnosis. I went to six hospitals and was treated like I was faking it. Just because it doesn't show up on tests doesn't mean the pain isn't real. It might sound weird if I said I was happy when I got the diagnosis, but I really was. Because my pain finally had a name, and it proved I wasn't just being oversensitive.
