b-side is a community where people share the problems that are awkward to say out loud. This blog is where those same topics get written up for the people who arrive through search.

One rule shapes every article. We show how several countries handle the same problem, side by side. What people eat for hair loss in Korea and in France is not the same thing, and the law on neighbour noise looks entirely different depending on where you live. That difference is the information.

Each edition of this blog is written separately. The Korean and English editions cover the same subject but lead with different countries, in a different order, from a different opening. A reader should start from where they already stand.

The community works differently. Everyone writes in their own language, and readers see it in theirs.

Articles are written by the b-side editorial team, not by named individuals. What we use as sources is set out in the editorial policy.
