Adult acne
Somewhere inside the American Academy of Dermatology's 2024 acne guideline sits an unusual admission: two treatments got a weaker recommendation not because the evidence was thin, but because they currently cost too much. What's best and what's affordable don't stay separate in that document. Korea handles the same underlying condition differently. Instead of grading a drug's effectiveness, it manages who can prescribe a risky one, and under what conditions. Lay the American and Japanese guidelines side by side, though, and the agreement comes first: what both recommend is combining treatments with different mechanisms, and what both restrict is using antibiotics alone, or for long.
